The gate was modified from the original gate design to allow the hydro plant to use the new skimmer gate as a mini-flow option, as well as a method to control the lake levels. 

Crowder procured and replaced the skimmer gate system, hoist and hoist controls, gate structure, gate slots, gate guides, wheel, and rails. The skimmer gate fish rack was repaired during the replacement of the skimmer gate system.
