Charlotte's Construction Job Growth Threatened by Federal Funding Deadline

Charlotte added more than 6,400 construction jobs in the past year. 

Lynn Hansen, CEO of Crowder Construction and board chair of the Carolinas AGC, said Charlotte's roads and infrastructure are critical to more than just daily drivers.

"Our roads support not only daily commuters, but emergency response vehicles, tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, and the movement of freight from our ports to the Carolinas and through the Carolinas to other states," Hansen said. "Without reliable federal funding, critical highway projects will be delayed or canceled."
