Greene Street – Richland County
The project consists of converting Greene Street from a four-lane and two-lane roadway to a three-lane curb and gutter roadway with sidewalks and dedicated bike lanes from Huger Street to Gadsden Street. The project also includes a new bridge over the Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation railroads to reconnect Greene Street with a complex stainless steel shade structure on both sides of the bridge. As well as road closures of Devine Street and Gadsden Street at Norfolk Southern railroad. This new bridge serves as the entry way to the campus of University of South Carolina with very detailed architecture and aesthetics.
