Esterification System Integration
South Carolina
This project consists of integrating a new esterification system for the existing continuous polymer and batch poly processes at the Spartanburg, SC Auriga site. Crowder Construction Company erected a 100 ft open monomer process structure, which included new bottom dump railcar unloading, pneumatic transport system, new storage silos, jacketed reactor, and all associated process systems. The Tiger project included 2,200 cubic yards of concrete, 440 tons of structural steel, over 18,000 ft of process piping, numerous critical lifts and process equipment erection, 70,000 feet of power, control and instrument cable. Crowder self performed all civil, structural, piping, and electrical and instrumentation work.
