This $6.7M EPC kicked off with notice to proceed on May 14, 2018. Crowder partnered with engineering firms McKim & Creed and Bloc Design, LLC to design the 9MWDC/6MWAC facility. Crowder also partnered with NEXTracker, LLC to supply a technologically advanced solar tracking system that is self-powered and provided our client with 120 degrees of rotation to best capture solar power and optimize output. The Woodleaf Solar Facility achieved placed in service on December 21st, 2018, ten days prior to the contractually required date. Considerable hard work and effort was put in by the Crowder team to meet this highly valued owner milestone. This project had to overcome several challenges and schedule delays; however, we were able to persevere and deliver to the Client with quality installation. We also provided training to the owner and personnel as they will ultimately operate this 9MWDC/6MWAC Solar Facility.
