MCC Replacement (Hydroelectric Modernization)

The scope of this project was to unwire and remove the dam’s existing MCC’s (motor control centers), switchgear assemblies, station service generators and control panels; replace the 125 volt DC and 120 volt AC distribution bords; and remove and replace all power and control cables entering and leaving the MCC, switchgear, switchboard assemblies and 125 DC and 120 AC distribution board. The crew pulled over 80,000’ of feeder cable ranging from 2/0 to 750 mem and 38,000’ of control cable.
