Submerged Flight Conveyor Project
North Carolina
This Project includes updating equipment and facilities to comply with the Federal Coal Combustion Residuals and Steam Electric Power Generating Effluent Pump Guidelines (CCR\ELG) standards. The project consisted of two parts – the Submerged Flight Conveyor (SFC) scope and the Water Redirects (WR) scope. The SFC consists of conversion of the existing wet sluice bottom ash system to a closed loop dry bottom ash system. The WR includes installation of a new retention basin (RB), Holding Basin (HB), various storm water collection basins, sumps, pumps, and redirection of miscellaneous plant wastewater and storm water from the existing ash pond to the new retention basin.
