Two Crowder Projects Receive DBIA-Southeast Awards
06.27.2019
Crowder was honored to receive two design-build project awards at the recent DBIA-Southeast annual awards banquet. The Calls Creek Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Upgrades for Oconee County was named the Best Public Sector Renovation/Rehabilitation Project. Crowder, in collaboration with engineering consultant Constantine, constructed upgrades to the county’s existing WRF. The upgrades enable the county to better support numerous commercial, institutional, and residential development projects by increasing treatment capacity and improving processes.
Crowder’s SWIFT Demonstration Facility won the Best Water Project Award. The SWIFT Demonstration Facility is a state-of-the-art research center developed by Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) as part of their Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow (SWIFT) Program – an innovative advanced water treatment and managed aquifer recharge program for Southeast Virginia. Crowder was Design-Builder for the project, with engineering partner Hazen and Sawyer.
Crowder would like to thank our project team, engineering partners, and project owners for their roles in these two successful projects!
