Crowder to Improve W.B. Casey WRF Polishing Plant for CCWA
11.08.2017
Crowder Construction Company is pleased to announce it has been contracted to build the W.B. Casey Water Reclamation Facility Polishing and WAS Thickening Upgrades project in Clayton County, GA. Clayton County Water Authority selected Crowder to join CH2M, the designer, to ensure the success of the project.
The project consists of a phosphorus polishing plant designed to treat a portion of the effluent from the existing W.B. Casey WRF and a new waste activated sludge (WAS) thickening facility to replace the old one. The new WAS thickening facility will also include a new half-mile outfall line which will be used to discharge effluents into the Flint River. This upgrade will help improve the reduction of phosphorus limits.
The design-bid-build project is set to kick off mid-November 2017 with an estimated completion date of September 2019. Crowder looks forward to working with CH2M and Clayton County Water Authority to ensure the successful completion of the $15 million project.
