Crowder Selected for CFPU’s First Design-Build Project
09.15.2016
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) has recently awarded their first ever design-build project to Crowder Construction Company. Crowder has been selected to provide CFPUA utility modification of their Southside Waste Water Treatment Plant in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Modifications to the plant include replacement of a heat exchanger and associated sludge feed pump. Miscellaneous piping and electrical work is also included.
Crowder is excited to work alongside CFPUA and the project’s engineer, Hazen and Sawyer, to develop a scope that will meet the CFPUA budget, schedule, and performance requirements.
The project is expected to be successfully and safely completed by the end of 2016. CFPU hopes that this project will be the first of more design-build projects in the future.
